Crop Circles: Alien Evidence?

I can't understand the meaning behind these circles, and the intricate geometry. Are we being left messages by the Aliens, or is it all a hoax? If it is all a hoax, how do these humans make these fantastic shapes at night without being seen? I find it unbelievable!

I know, I've heard about the Mayan Calender ending on Dec. 21, 2012. I listen every night as I'm going to bed to Coast to Coast. Ever hear of that talk show on am radio? George Nouri is the host. They talk about it on that show all the time. They talk alot about UFOs as well. It's an interesting program.

Coast to Coast is nation wide, hence the name. It's a paranormal program with a different topic every night. Last night, they were talking about the apocalypse. They also have an website.
Anyway, back to the crop circles. I've seen all those programs on all the channels. I saw one where two guys went out with a board and a string and made a not very good one. I'm talking about this really elaborate ones. I used to live in the country in England, and it's pitch black and dead silent at night there. I'd like to know how those get made overnight!

I was just checking the Coast to Coast website. if you go to the bottom of the page to 'other stories' and to the next page, under July 17, 2008, you'll see an article about how these UK crop circles may have something to do with the end of the Mayan calender. All of the nine planets of the solar system will line up somehow on Dec. 23, 2012.

Some almost look like they may be maps, Like the one above. The center looks like possibly a galaxy, and the empty circle maybe a sun and the two solids maybe planets. Just what it looks like to me.
